December Ceremony

The season of winter is associated with the element of wind, the cardinal direction of north, the life stage of elder/sage, and the aspect of self-mind.

Winter is a season of quiet introspection, rest, and inner contemplation. Just as the natural world hibernates and rests, we too can take this time to recharge our spirits and nurture the inner flame of creativity and wisdom. It's an opportunity to reflect on the past year, set intentions for the future, and find solace in the serenity of the winter landscape.

To begin our ceremony, we'll build an altar and set our intention, creating a safe space for deep inner exploration through breathwork and sound.

This session includes materials to build a medicinal bag, as well as unlimited regular and special herbal teas, including Mexican Tarragon. This plant, Tagetes lucida, originally grows in the Sierra Madre mountains of Mexico and was used by the ancient Aztecs in their rituals for its scent. The Huichol Indians also consume Tarragon during their ceremonies.

You don't need to bring anything, just wear comfortable clothing (including warm socks) and avoid eating anything heavy one hour prior to the experience. Our venue provides yoga mats, blankets, and writing materials, and we'll bring the tools necessary to build our altar. Be open to receive and give yourself the gift of a joyful evening.

As you embark on the shamanic path, you are invited to create your own masterpiece and personal vision of freedom. Trust your power and your path.

After the ceremony, you can expect to feel deeply relaxed and have newfound realizations and, in some cases, empowering visions. You'll leave with practical tools that you can apply to your everyday life and the opportunity to connect with our community and work towards the Shamanic Path of the Warrior.

About the facilitator: The facilitator is deeply rooted in the traditions of her grandmother, a traditional indigenous healer or "curandera" from Oaxaca, Mexico. She is currently studying the use of frequencies, music, and art to heal the body, mind, and spirit.
